something that is a little frustrating to me:
in regards to portraying people who are meant to be agender or gender neutral, i always see body types without visible breasts used to illustrate androgyny. i very seldom see anything else. it seems like the general “default” for androgyny is very specifically a person who doesn’t have visible breasts. but going under the assumption that breasts and all other body parts aren’t gender-specific, why then does it seem that androgyny is always portrayed this way? why does an individual having visible breasts make them “less” gender neutral than an individual without? in my mind, it shouldn’t.
