I love this because you can tell there was no mocap and it was all just straight-up animation talent, right here, folks
Here’s my 2nd year Calarts film!
Loooove!
Dudes and Dudettes,
Sorry for the radio silence. I’ve been at home with my family spending some quality time with OUR NEW BABY!! I’m back at work now, but I did get to take a couple of weeks of paternity leave which was amazing. You guys, if you haven’t had a baby you should definitely give it a try. I mean after you get married, that is. Let’s not get carried away here. Anyway, babies are seriously the BEST.
Things at home are super busy these days, but I’ll try to check in with new doodles when I can. Until then be good, everyone!

writer vs. muse: the animation
I tried to scroll over this

So I’ve finally started making gifs from some of the character animation I did for Psyop’s Dishonored: Tales from Dunwall animations! I wanted to isolate a few of my favorite sequences from the rest of the backgrounds/effects to show what they look like on their own.
This is a little zoomed-in segment of one of my favorites. It’s from the Episode 3 dream sequence. Poor lil Piero gettin’ tumbled around. So much fun!!

This is a simple motion-diagram thing I made when talking about animation to non-animators.
Great visualization for people learning animation. All these different sequences are the same length, just approached differently.
Take.
